Facebook group monitoring for the groups your customers are in.
Name the public Facebook groups that matter to you. KeywordWatchr reads their new posts every day and sends you the ones that mention your keyword.
What a Facebook group alert watches
One alert is one keyword in the public groups you name, with its own exclusion words.
Public groups you name
Paste the address of a public group. KeywordWatchr reads its new posts. Private groups and Facebook pages are not supported.
Your keyword inside those groups
Every new post in the group that contains your keyword. The comments under a post are not read yet.
Exclusion words
Leave out the posts in which your keyword means something else, a common pitfall in large groups.
All terms, or any of them
Combine up to three terms. All of them must appear, or any one of them on Pro and Business.
Delivered where you work
Every match is in your dashboard as soon as it is found. Email digests work on every plan, Slack and webhooks on Pro and Business. Daily delivery is on Pro and Business, weekly and monthly on every plan.
Why groups you name, and not all of Facebook
Facebook is the one network where a keyword search across everything does not work. This is how KeywordWatchr handles it.
No search to build on
Facebook offers no search for posts inside groups without a login. That is why KeywordWatchr does not promise all of Facebook.
No login from you
KeywordWatchr reads the public feed of each group you name. You never hand over a Facebook account, and none is used on your behalf.
You already know the groups
Most niches have a handful of groups where customers ask for advice. Those are the ones worth watching, and the ones you name.
Set up in three steps
You need the address of each group. Everything else is the same as on any other source.
- Step 1
Paste the group address
Open the public group on Facebook and copy the address from your browser. Each alert watches one group.
- Step 2
Enter your keyword
Your product name, your domain, a competitor. Add exclusion words if the term means something else too.
- Step 3
Pick where it lands
Email on every plan, Slack or your own webhook on Pro and Business. Weekly or monthly, and daily on Pro and Business.
Frequently Asked Questions
What people want to know before they set anything up.
Can I monitor private groups, pages or all of Facebook?
No. KeywordWatchr reads the public groups you name, the posts anyone can read without being a member. Facebook has no search across groups or pages that works without a login.
Do I need to join the groups?
No. The posts of a public group can be read without joining it, and KeywordWatchr reads them without a Facebook account.
Can I get the group posts in Slack?
Yes, on Pro and Business. Each new post from the group goes into the Slack channel you pick, with a link to it, so whoever looks after your community sees it there.
How many groups can I watch?
Each alert watches one group. One in ten of your alerts can be on Facebook, and at least one on every plan, so 50 alerts allow five groups.
How often are the groups checked?
Once a day. Every post is in your dashboard as soon as it is found. Email, Slack and webhook deliveries follow the schedule you set per alert.
Does it read comments in the group?
Not yet. KeywordWatchr reads new posts in the group, not the comments under them.
