Subprocessors

When we process personal data on behalf of our customers, we use the service providers below. The basis is our data processing agreement (see section 14 of the terms of service). We have concluded a data processing agreement with each of these providers ourselves. We announce new providers to our customers by email at least four weeks in advance.

Laravel Cloud

Provider: Laravel Holdings Inc., 60 Broad Street, 24th Floor, #1559, New York, NY 10004, USA, on infrastructure of Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare
Purpose: Hosting of the application and its database (accounts, alerts, mentions), storing uploaded logos
Where data is processed: Frankfurt am Main, Germany; uploaded files in storage bound to the EU
Transfers to third countries: Cannot be ruled out, because Laravel is based in the USA; based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework

Laravel Nightwatch

Provider: Laravel Holdings Inc., 60 Broad Street, 24th Floor, #1559, New York, NY 10004, USA
Purpose: Detecting errors and performance problems in the application
Where data is processed: Frankfurt am Main, Germany
Transfers to third countries: Cannot be ruled out, because Laravel is based in the USA; based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework

Scaleway

Provider: Scaleway SAS, 8 rue de la Ville-l’Évêque, 75008 Paris, France
Purpose: Sending the application’s emails: account emails (such as confirmations, password resets, invitations, billing notices) and the mention digests
Where data is processed: Paris, France
Transfers to third countries: None

Apify

Provider: Apify Technologies s.r.o., Vodičkova 704/36, 110 00 Prague 1, Czech Republic
Purpose: Searching Reddit, X and public Facebook groups for the search terms of alerts, and returning the public posts found, including the name of their author. Apify receives only the search terms and filters, no account data; we use it solely to run the searches inside KeywordWatchr
Where data is processed: EU and the locations of Apify’s service providers
Transfers to third countries: Cannot be ruled out: Apify uses service providers outside the EU, based on the standard contractual clauses

DataForSEO

Provider: DataForSEO OÜ, Vesivärava tn 50-201, 10152 Tallinn, Estonia
Purpose: Searching the web (news, blogs and forums) for the search terms of alerts, and returning the pages found. DataForSEO receives only the search terms and filters, no account data; we use it solely to run the searches inside KeywordWatchr
Where data is processed: EU and the locations of DataForSEO’s service providers
Transfers to third countries: Cannot be ruled out: DataForSEO also operates outside the EU

Pirsch

Provider: Emvi Software GmbH, Nickelstraße 1b, 33378 Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Germany
Purpose: Usage statistics for the application, without cookies
Where data is processed: Germany
Transfers to third countries: None

Help Scout

Provider: Help Scout PBC, 68 Harrison Ave #605, Boston, MA 02111, USA
Purpose: Handling support requests by email
Where data is processed: USA
Transfers to third countries: USA, based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the standard contractual clauses

Not on this list

Polar (Polar Software, Inc., USA) sells our plans as a merchant of record in its own name and is responsible for the purchase data itself, not on our behalf.

Gravatar (Automattic Inc., USA) provides the profile picture shown in the account menu, if an account has one there. Our server sends Gravatar only a hash of the account’s e-mail address; Automattic answers as a controller in its own right, not on our behalf.

Slack workspaces and webhook addresses that customers connect receive mentions because the customer chooses them; they are not our service providers. Nor are the sources themselves: Reddit, X, Facebook and the websites KeywordWatchr searches are where the posts are published.
