An F5Bot alternative for X, Facebook groups and the web.
F5Bot emails you Reddit, Hacker News and Lobsters matches, within minutes on its paid plans, and it has a free plan. KeywordWatchr checks once a day, but adds X, Facebook groups and the web, with Slack and webhooks from its Pro plan.
Why people look for an F5Bot alternative
Three reasons, each from F5Bot's own pages.
Only Reddit and two tech sites
F5Bot watches Reddit, Hacker News and Lobsters. Posts on X, in Facebook groups or on blogs and forums never reach it.
Slack only on the top plan
Slack and Discord webhooks, RSS and JSON feeds come with Gold, at $49.99 a month.
Basic filters on the free plan
Subreddits, exclusion words and required words start with Silver. On the free plan the filters are basic.
The short answer
Where F5Bot fits better, and where KeywordWatchr does.
Choose F5Bot if …
- You only need Reddit and Hacker News.
- You want a match within minutes, not the next day.
- You want a free plan, or 20 keywords for $12.99 a month.
Choose KeywordWatchr if …
- Your customers also talk on X, in Facebook groups or on blogs and forums.
- You want mentions in Slack or a webhook without the top plan.
- You want every mention in a dashboard, sorted into folders and workspaces.

What sets F5Bot and KeywordWatchr apart
Three differences that decide which one fits.
Speed or reach
F5Bot checks every few minutes (free-plan alerts can take up to two hours), KeywordWatchr once a day. If a reply within the hour matters, F5Bot is faster. If the thread on X or in a Facebook group matters, KeywordWatchr finds it and F5Bot does not look there.
Slack without the top plan
F5Bot sends to Slack and webhooks on Gold, at $49.99 a month. KeywordWatchr does on Pro, from $29 a month for 5 alerts.
A dashboard, not only an inbox
Every KeywordWatchr mention stays in a dashboard with filters, folders and up to 24 months of history, whether or not you opened the email.

Can I use both?
Yes. Keep F5Bot for fast Reddit and Hacker News alerts, and use KeywordWatchr for X, Facebook groups and the web.
