A GummySearch alternative for the Reddit alerts you relied on.
GummySearch shuts down for good on 1 December 2026. If you used it to catch Reddit threads about your product or your market, KeywordWatchr can take over that part, and it watches X, Facebook groups and the web as well.
GummySearch stopped taking new customers on 1 December 2025. It shuts down completely on 1 December 2026, and all user data is deleted then. Export what you want to keep before that date.
Why people look for a GummySearch alternative
Three reasons, each from GummySearch's own pages.
It shuts down on 1 December
GummySearch closes for good on 1 December 2026. Existing customers keep access until 30 November at the latest.
The data is deleted
All user data is deleted with the shutdown. Whatever you want to keep has to be exported before then.
No new sign-ups
New customers have not been accepted since 1 December 2025, so there is no new account to move to.

Choose GummySearch if …
- You are an existing customer and need it until 30 November 2026. New sign-ups closed on 1 December 2025.

Choose KeywordWatchr if …
- You want an alert for each new Reddit post that names your product, a competitor or a problem you solve.
- Your customers also talk on X, in Facebook groups or on blogs and forums.
- You want those alerts by email, in Slack or through a webhook.

What changes for GummySearch users
Why it closes, and what KeywordWatchr can and cannot take over.
Why GummySearch is closing
According to its founder, GummySearch could not reach an agreement with Reddit that allowed commercial use of Reddit's data API, so it had to become non-commercial or close.
What KeywordWatchr replaces
The alerts: every new Reddit post with your keyword, narrowed to subreddits, with exclusion words, delivered by email, Slack or webhook.
What it does not replace
Audience research. KeywordWatchr does not analyse subreddits, sum up themes or find audiences for you. It tells you when a new post matches your keyword.
Frequently Asked Questions
What people want to know before they set anything up.
When does GummySearch shut down?
On 1 December 2026. Until 30 November 2026 existing customers can still log in and export their data. After that, all user data is deleted.
Why did GummySearch shut down?
Its founder wrote that GummySearch could not reach an agreement with Reddit that fit Reddit's rules for commercial use of its data API.
Does KeywordWatchr do audience research like GummySearch?
No. KeywordWatchr sends you new posts that match your keywords. It does not analyse subreddits or audiences.
Can I import my GummySearch data?
There is no import. Create one alert for each keyword you tracked, narrowed to the same subreddits, and the new posts arrive from then on.
Can I limit alerts to the subreddits I followed?
Yes. Each Reddit alert can be narrowed to one subreddit or several. Without a restriction it watches all of Reddit.
Could the same happen to KeywordWatchr?
Reddit is one of four sources in KeywordWatchr. If one source became unavailable, the alerts on the other three would keep running, and on Pro and Business you can export your mentions as CSV at any time.
